+Did you know that Bethany Lutheran Church and ECEC has a church library?
+Do you know where it is located? (It is located on the front, left side of the church’s
nave and chancel area - just up the steps on the left and keep going!)
+There are many good Christian reads and helps for all of us?
+Instructions are there concerning how to “check out” a good book?

+Did you know that our Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has a Concordia
University System? What is it?
+The System is a group of 10 Lutheran Concordia Colleges and Universities
(Concordia means “harmony.”) spread throughout the USA.
+These Concordias are located in Oregon, California, Texas, Nebraska,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Alabama and New York.
+Present enrollment is 36,250, up 8.5% from last year, an increase of 2851.
+We also have two Seminaries in the USA, in Ft Wayne, IN and St. Louis, MS.
+While total enrollment grew significantly, the number of declared church-work
students declined from 1531 to 1392.
+Planned gifts are needed for the Church Endowment Fund to financially assist
Lutheran students studying at one of the Concordias.

DID YOU KNOW?
+The Bible says about Noah’s time: “The Lord saw how great man’s
wickedness in the world had become…”
+We seem to be living in a “wicked” time in our world today!
+Noah and his family “entered” the ark in order to be saved from the great
flood God was sending.
+As Noah and his family were saved via water, God tells us in 1 Peter that
the flood water “symbolizes baptism that now saves you.”
+But not only did Noah “enter” the ark to be saved via water, he endured
all the days of the flood and was saved!
+God is directing us not only to be baptized, but to endure the rough waters
of our lives and to trust Him, through Jesus our Savior, our ark!
REMEMBER: “The one who calls you (God) is faithful and He will do it.”
